Every founder in Mosaic gets hours with the Village – the forty-odd Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Madrinas who shape it. Not a mentor assigned to you for ten weeks whether or not you need them – hours you spend where the work actually is, in the week the work is actually happening.
It takes a village. We took that literally and built one you can book by the hour. We call them Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Madrinas because that is what they are. In our families, the person who tells you the truth about your business is rarely the one with the title.
Your hours are yours.
Spend them across the whole Village.
Book a vocal coach the week before a pitch and a money-trauma coach the week you raise your prices. Nobody has to approve it and nobody asks why.

Add more at any time
An extra hour is $175, also in blocks of 5 or 10. Open Track founders buy hours the same way.
Aunties get paid
Everyone in the Village is paid for their time. Too often, women, transgender, and non-binary people are asked to volunteer their time – not at Mosaic.
Unused hours do not vanish
They carry for a year after your cohort ends. Alumni keep booking.

The Village is intergenerational on purpose. Some of these Aunties and Uncles are a few years ahead of you; others have been at it for decades. Both kinds of knowing matter, and you can book either.
Madrinas arrive with the co-op – they sit in the peer lending circles rather than the booked hours, and we will name them here once it is incorporated.
Buy an hour for a founder who cannot buy one.
One hour, $175, given to a founder in the current cohort. You will not be told who receives it and they will not be told who paid. That is deliberate: a gift with a name attached is a debt.

If you have done the thing, come and say how.
We are looking for people who work well with founders who have been talked down to before. You set your own availability, typically at least two hours a month. You are paid our standard hourly rate, and you are never asked to work for exposure.
Anyone who stays can become a member-owner of the co-operative alongside the founders.

“Auntie” carries something “mentor” does not. An Auntie is not evaluating you for a decision they are about to make. They are not a step on a ladder. They have no stake in your compliance.
They will tell you your pricing is wrong, and then they will ask whether you have eaten. Both of those are the work.
